Hydrostatic Transmission
The hydrostatic transmission is a closed-loop circuit, where the fluid exiting from the drive motor outlet is returned to the hydrostatic pump without being sent to the tank. In this circuit, the input drive is the hydrostatic pump connected to the prime mover,. The hydrostatic transmission consists of a variable displacement pump, of a variable displacement hydraulic motor and of mechanical transmission to the wheels. The cabin is equipped with the controls that are needed for operating the functions of the harvester and with a display module, which gives the operator information on the harvesting. Hydrostatic transmissions with fixed or variable hydraulic pumps and fixed or variable motor combinations provide an extended range of motor speeds and torques. The hydrostatic transmission system can be classified according to the spatial arrangement, transmission ratio and circuit construction. Each of these classifications is mentioned below. In-line, U-shaped, S-shaped and split are the 4 different hydraulic. Hydrostatic transmissions allow for greater variability in the mower’s forward speed. The “jump” between gears often felt on manual transmission vehicles is absent in hydrostatic lawn mowers. All a user feels when the pedal is pressed is a gradual change in speed. Several manufacturers produce hydrostatic lawn mower transmissions.
